Dr. Denenberg is a published author of two books, a former Social Studies teacher, and College Professor. Now Dr. Denenberg is a speaker inspiring educators to bring heroes alive in the life of a child.
Teacher Created Materials provided the cohorts with two days of instruction about using primary sources in the classroom. TAH was also able to provided Primary Source Readers to each member at no cost to our teachers.
Each member of the Cohorts had a chance to participate in a seminar on site at the Heinz History Center. Led through the Seminar by Dr. Alexis Macklin of the Library and Archives each participant was giving a hands on tour.
Mr. Wiseman is the West Virginia State Social Studies Coordinator. He spoke to the cohorts on Social Studies for the Next Generation – Teachers charted their way through history with the Next Generation Content Standards and Objectives.
MEET Dr. Patrick Albano
Dr. Albano spoke to the cohorts about U.S. History and the time frame that he focused on was the Civil War through Reconstruction. He gave each member some great resources and increased participants' knowledge.
Ms. Evans provided a two day training through the American Institute for History Education to provide the cohort with training and ideas on using Cicero and using primary sources in the classroom.
